Generally it depends on how long your stay is, as to how much it works out for.

If you are going to stay for 1 week to 3 weeks then it can be easier to get a room in a flat-share. To organise a full self-contained flat or studio for this period is also going to work out quite expensive, and you would be suprised at how much you can save if you share a kitchen or a bathroom with another room.
